FAQ's, Returns, Policy

Where/How do you hang the Mobile?

As with all mobiles, they should be securely hung out of reach of a child. This is not a toy and is intended for decoration only.  If you are going to hang this in a child's room it should be hung well out of arms reach. We advise against hanging the mobile over a child's bed because of risk of injury. We have our Trout Mobile hanging in the front of the bathroom window and one in the corner of the bedroom hanging from a tree branch.

The mobile comes with a small hanging element which can be hung from a ceiling hook. We deliberately left the monofilament to the mobile shorter so you can view it from afar. It's up to you if you want to add more line to lower it from high ceilings. You can gently pull the trout to where you want them balanced.

Where are you located?

We are located in Missoula, Montana in a historic building located downtown near the banks of the Clark Fork River. Missoula is a mountain town full of creative folks like artists, authors, fishing guides, brewers, skiers, surfers, and dog lovers. Did we mention fly fishers? Did we also mention that the famed Blackfoot River flows into the Clarkfork River just miles from downtown?

Are Trout and Company the only producer of the Trout Mobile?

Yes. Dreamt of, patent and copyright protected, created, and manufactured here.

Are the Trout Mobile Kits easy to assemble?

We think so. You have to know how to measure and cut the monofilament. It's helpful to know how to tie knots. Go ahead and practice your fishing knots! If you make a mistake it's not the end of the world - you can redo it! You can customize the mobile by adding beads and more to make it your own work of art. Detailed instructions are included.

What do I need to assemble the Mobile?

You will need a pair of scissors, ruler, needle and a flat nose pliers (if you decide to use crimp beads instead of tying on the trout).
